What’s the minimum term for a long-term rental?
Long-term rent is built around the job, not a fixed rate card. Call 1300 327 901 and the team will confirm a minimum term to suit, whether that’s a few months or an open-ended arrangement.
Is servicing and maintenance really included?
Yes. Scheduled servicing and general mechanical upkeep are covered for the life of your rental, the same as any Easy hire.
Can I swap trucks partway through the term?
In most cases, yes. If the job changes and you need a bigger Pantech, a Curtainsider for pallet work, or the fuel-efficient Hino Hybrid, talk to your account contact about what’s available across our 28 locations.
What licence do I need?
A standard Open class C car licence or Green P-plate. Every vehicle in the Easy fleet has a GVM under 4,500kg, so no truck licence is required.
What’s not covered by the weekly rate?
Fuel and tolls are the same as any hire, you cover what you use. Your kilometre allowance is set out in your agreement, based on how you’ll use the truck.
Is there a bond on a long-term rental?
Bond and payment terms for long-term rentals are confirmed when you get your quote, since business arrangements are set up a little differently to a walk-in daily hire.
Can I hire a driver as well as the truck?
Yes. Our sister service, Easy Driver Hire, can pair an experienced driver with your long-term truck if you need extra hands or don’t have a driver available in-house.
What happens when the rental ends?
Return the truck to your nearest location and that’s it. If you’d rather keep the truck than hand it back, ask about switching to Rent To Own instead.
